Preparing new drainage system

7 March 2017Past ProjectsNo commentsOddbjørn Sørmoen

With the reclaiming of land on the south-eastern side of the island to accommodate the Chipperfield extension of the municipal cemetery, the drainage situation of the Protestant Cemetery was altered. Where once the reparto evangelico gave directly onto the lagoon, it now abuts onto land. When the drainage pipes for the extension were being laid, a connection was made underground through the wall to enable the future drainage regime in the Protestant Cemetery to link into the new system of the Chipperfield extension.
